PrimeVal StressLess® Pheromone Gel is intended for horses of all ages exposed to new and stressful situations or activities. It can also be used for nervous or sensitive horses and during situations such as the following examples:

• Transport: loading and unloading trailers, trucks, trains, airplanes;
  
  
• Change of environment: stable, paddock, or owner;
  
  
• Work situations: breaking in, learning, training, competitions;
  
  
• Care: visits to the vet, dentist, farrier, or clipping;
  
  
• Sound and light: thunder, gunshots, fireworks, motor vehicles, crowds, flashing lights.

Ingredients and effects;

PrimeVal StressLess® Pheromone Gel works based on the principle of pheromones. Pheromones are natural signaling molecules widely used in animal communication. They are invisible and odorless but recognizable to the horse. They are species-specific, meaning a horse only recognizes horse pheromones and not those of a cow, dog, or cat, for example.


Pheromones are analyzed by the Jacobson's organ. This can be recognized by the horse's behavior. When a horse flehmen, the pheromones it picks up are brought to the Jacobson's organ.


A mare releases pheromones for several days after the birth of the foal to create a safe and calming environment around her. This also promotes the bond with her foal. Adult horses also recognize these pheromones and give an instinctive, calming response because it creates a sense of safety and security.

PrimeVal StressLess® Pheromone Gel is preferably administered 30 minutes before the stressful situation. One 5 ml sachet works for 2 - 2.5 hours and can be repeated if desired. The gel is easily applied to the base of the nostrils.
