This high-quality double-jointed D-bit is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy consisting of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material produces a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse’s mouth, creating a soft and even pressure distribution. The combination of the design and the unique composition of Cuprigan stimulates chewing and saliva production, allowing for a comfortable connection with the sensitive horse’s mouth. The bit has a gentle effect on the mouth. The mouthpiece is 16 mm thick, and the oval bit rings measure 65 x 50 mm.

A D-bit has D-rings that cannot rotate freely, which makes aids more direct. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece lies relatively firmly in the mouth. Due to the D-shape, the rider cannot pull the bit through the mouth, and the horse remains well controllable, making the bit suitable for young horses as well.

A double-jointed bit consists of three parts. The middle section of the mouthpiece lies flat on the tongue, creating more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed mouthpiece. The thicker the middle piece, the more pressure on the tongue.
