Additional information:

At high temperatures or heavy exertion, a horse sweats a lot. Through this sweat, a horse also loses many electrolytes. Electrolytes regulate the body's fluid balance and are important for energy metabolism, pH balance, muscle contraction and relaxation, and the signal transmission of the brain and nervous system. The body cannot produce these electrolytes itself but must obtain them from food and drinking water. During prolonged exertion, a horse loses significantly more electrolytes through sweat than can be replenished through normal feed. In these cases, it is important to provide the horse with extra electrolytes.



Electrolytes is a powder that can be easily added to feed or dissolved in drinking water. Electrolyte supplements often also contain dextrose. This dextrose plays an important role as it helps water and ions to be absorbed faster in the small intestine.



In addition to Electrolytes, a convenient paste has also been developed that is easy to carry: Electrolyte Paste.

A measuring scoop = approx. 25 g.



A 1 kg bucket is sufficient for about 20 days at a daily dosage of 50 g. Water must always be available.
